Pepperdine grad Erin Himes recently joined our Content Division as Social Media Coordinator.
We knew Erin would be a great fit right away. The D1 Swimmer brings with her a strong competitive edge, an understanding of what drives a great social strategy, and a love of true crime podcasts.
What do you do at Funkhaus?
I help manage social media accounts for Funkhaus and our clients and help out with any other content department needs.
What do you listen to while working? While unwinding?
I like to listen to podcasts while working (anything true crime or Philadelphia basketball are favorites), the storytelling keeps me mentally engaged. I listen to a wide range of music, but for the last couple of months it’s been a lot of The Weeknd and Ed Sheeran.
What inspires you?
As a lifelong swimmer, the world of sports inspires me. People in athletics are so passionate about what they do and watching that kind of drive inspires me to want to have that kind of passion for everything, not just sports.
What excites you about social media and content?
Storytelling is so powerful and with social media, there are so many new and evolving ways to tell a story. The challenge of choosing the right platform and way to tell different stories is really exciting to me.
_______ is the best place in Los Angeles, because ________.
If I can branch to LA county, The Sunset restaurant is the best place in Los Angeles because of its ocean views, killer happy hour, and avocado fries.
Anything else you’d like to plug?
Yes, here’s a photo of my family’s dog Lulu who I love more than anything.
