A curated selection of what we’ve been doing, reading, and watching in the month of October. This month brought us lots of LA sights and some spooky TV.
Stranger Things is finally here. Season 2 dropped October 27 (yes, that’s today) and we’re watching the trailer on loop until we can get in the zone to binge-watch the entire second season. Don’t bother making any other weekend plans. Watch the trailer below.
72andSunny crafted a campaign and logo that celebrates the countless creatives that call LA home. Check out the ad and try to resist shopping the products that feature the LA-centric emblem.
Twin Peaks fans got the chance to try some coffee and cherry pie at a Double R Diner pop-up last week in LA. Some say they spotted Laura Palmer.
We’ve been excited to watch some of our work receive recognition from award sites recently. Swell, Flood Magazine, Resource LA, 3AM, and Two Bunch Palms have all been recognized across CSS Winner, Mindsparkle Mag, CSS Design Awards, and The Gallery. Follow along on Facebook and Twitter to know when it happens.
The most exciting part of our month? Watching our Los Angeles Dodgers fight their way to the World Series for the first time since 1988. We have a number of ride or die Dodger fans here at Funkhaus and are sporting our finest Dodgers’ gear as we cheer them on through the end of the month. We’re loving the commitment by LA mainstay Pink’s Hot Dogs, who showcased what it means to be a superfan by turning their entire storefront blue, the first change in their signage in 78 years.
