A curated selection of what we’ve been reading, watching, and chatting about in the month of January. We both celebrated and survived the holiday season, and are already loving what 2018 has to offer—here are some of our favorites from the first month of this brand new year.

It’s never too early to start planning—or simply dreaming of— the next travel spots to galavant towards this year. The New York Times shared their annual 52 places to go list for 2018. New Orleans took the coveted number one spot, and the list is full of more gems that will take you both across the country and the globe. Needless to say, you’re guaranteed to get incredible wanderlust just exploring the places they picked out.

Who doesn’t love some fascinating factoids every now and then? These seemingly random things that somehow correlate with one another will blow your mind.

Many Californians—and Angelenos, specifically—were eager to ring in the new year with a legal pot purchase. January 1st was the official date that Prop 64 was fully enacted in California, causing a whole lot of excitement and some very long lines.
