Welcome to the December Soapbox, a collection of Slacks exchanged in the wake of Omicron.

Before we hunkered down to weather the winter surge, our team celebrated the end of the year with our clients – first at the Burch Creative Capital Conference in Miami, which coincided with the launch of their new Funkhaus site, then locally at London Alley’s Emo Christmas party. Unfortunately, Omicron made its way to LA before we got the chance to celebrate the holidays together, leaving us to once again sign off the year via Slack messages and celebratory GIFs. 

We admired Spike Lee’s commitment to getting the shot during Steph Curry’s historic trip to the Garden. Laughed at this embarrassing and utterly confusing new partnership for the 76ers. Marveled at the trailer for Adam McKay’s Showtime Lakers series. Discussed the best way to get a fruity cocktail delivered to your home. Appreciated this excellent Lorde cover from Glass Animals. Stared wide-eyed and jaws-dropped at our TVs in the final moments of Succession’s third season. Exchanged Spotify Wrapped statistics. Cried during the Insecure series finale. And we did it all while sporting our new Funkhaus merch – especially the team-favorite hoodie, perfect for a rainy Los Angeles day.
