We’re Hiring – Project Manager
Funkhaus is a digital creative agency building brands and websites for culture-shaping clients across hospitality, architecture, entertainment, and beyond. We’re a team of multi-instrumentalists who care deeply about design, craft, and pushing our work forward in thoughtful, meaningful ways.
We’re looking for a Project Manager to support and drive the day-to-day execution of our client work. This role sits at the center of our creative and client service teams and works closely with our Executive Producer to keep projects running smoothly from kickoff through delivery. You’ll take ownership of some projects while playing a strong support role on others, helping ensure timelines, communication, and execution stay on track.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced agency environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in running a tight process while supporting great creative work.
What you'll do:
- Partner closely with the Executive Producer to support active client projects across branding, website design, and digital support engagements
- Take ownership of select projects while supporting larger or more complex initiatives led by the Executive Producer
- Collaborate daily with designers, developers, and leadership to plan and execute project timelines
- Own project workflows in Asana, including task creation, assignments, and status tracking
- Support and occasionally lead internal and client-facing meetings, capturing clear notes and tracking action items through completion
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, or scope changes and flag them early with proposed solutions
- Serve as a point of contact for day-to-day project coordination, with guidance and support from the Executive Producer
- Coordinate asset collection, organization, and handoff across teams
- Support QA and beta testing for website launches, documenting issues clearly and thoroughly
- Help uphold a high bar for process, communication, and overall project health across the studio
What we're looking for:
- 3–5 years experience in a project management or producer role, ideally in a digital or creative agency
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with both clients and internal teams
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple projects at once
- Confident using project management tools, especially Asana or similar platforms
- Able to think ahead, anticipate needs, and solve problems before they escalate
- Comfortable collaborating closely with an Executive Producer while growing ownership and autonomy over time
- An appreciation for good design and digital craft, even if you’re not a designer yourself
- Calm, clear, and proactive under pressure
- Pride in process and in delivering high-quality work to clients
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with website workflows, CMS platforms like WordPress, and digital QA
- Experience working with creative tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Figma
- Previous experience in an agency environment with multiple concurrent clients

The Fine Print:
- Annual Salary: $70,000–$80,000 depending on experience
- We have a hybrid in-office/at-home schedule, with 3 days a week in our DTLA Arts District studio
- Applicants must be legally eligible to work in the United States — no visa sponsorship is available
- Applicants must reside in Los Angeles; we do not cover relocation
- International candidates must hold a valid US working permit
