The Brief

Greenpoint has been making films from the mean streets of Brooklyn since 2003, and have always hustled across-genres and capabilities to make great content come together. Over the years, they had self-made brands and websites to get by, but looked to Funkhaus to finally put them on a level equal to the caliber of their work.

Attitude with a grown-up polish

Greenpoint Pictures are original Brooklynites, so there’s a natural grit to their approach that we wanted to capture with the brand identity. The final mark finds that attitude in the sharp edges and stamp-like quality of the characters, but there’s a clean sophistication to the system that is appropriate for their polished, veteran operation.

Motion against motion

The principals at Greenpoint gave us a major charge for our website project together - don’t be afraid to push the creative, to do something brave. This gave us the license to showcase their video work in non-traditional layouts, utilizing motion and brand colors to provide a pathway for user exploration.
