As a growing company, Oak & Poppy needed a digital presence to match their ambitions of reimagining the tattoo and piercing experience from the ground up. They turned to Funkhaus for a site that would reflect the studio’s distinct body art offerings under one digital umbrella, showcase the expert work of their individual artists, integrate product and jewelry sales, and carry forward the thoughtful, upscale tone of the brand.
Oak & Poppy
Design
Oak & Poppy’s new site design blends editorial polish with a subcultural edge, pulling from both luxury fashion and punk design cues and creating an intentional tension that speaks to the studio’s unique DNA. We took special care to be intentional with how we showed off the brand’s accolades, so now artist portfolios function like mini-galleries, letting the work speak for itself, and client reviews are woven in with subtlety, reinforcing trust without feeling transactional.
Digital
To support both their tattoo and piercing service arms, we prioritized easy, intuitive navigation and created a layout that gives each artist their own space to shine while maintaining cohesion throughout. Their online store, anchored in their partnership with BVLA, utilizes specified filtering to help customers find the perfect piece in their curated selection of high-end body jewelry, while simple booking pathways allow clients to reach out with ease. Throughout, this site allows for scalability, meeting their current and future needs as they grow in roster, offerings, and brick-and-mortar locations.
The Funkhaus team really took the time to understand who we are, asked the right questions, cared about the details, and built a site that truly captures what it feels like to walk into one of our studios.
