September Soapbox

Extracurriculars October 01, 2026

As fall kicked into gear in September, the team at Funkhaus was excited to see several projects that we’ve been hard at work on go out into the world.

We launched new websites for our partners at multidisciplinary production house Skunk and the editorial creatives over at Uppercut. And we expanded our social partnership with the live entertainment experts at 100x Hospitality to support content creation on several more of their accounts, including their home base, Crash My Playa, and Girls Just Wanna Weekend.

Our Content team spent an illuminating afternoon visiting the Elizabeth Taylor archive, getting an up-close look at the materials behind so much of the storytelling we do for the brand. Mimi and Erin also attended The Elizabeth Taylor AIDS Foundation's Night of Compassion, an evening celebrating ETAF's ongoing work and Elizabeth's enduring legacy of advocacy.

On the blog, we looked at why some website redesigns are really brand positioning problems in disguise — read more here. We also shared how brands can make the most of a cultural moment with the right digital partner, based on our work with Jhpiego for last month’s Daisy Chain Fields Festival — read the full post here.

We shared a soundtrack for summer’s final days and the slow transition into autumn in aftersun from Funkhaus alum Marlon — listen to the playlist here. And finally, we made a few updates closer to home: our site now features a new Industries tab, along with service-level pages you can find from our About page. While you're here, take a look around.
